Palace. It’s a little sketchy by the W.

I prefer the Marriott Marquis personally
Palace by far. 4 seasons and marriott marquis are also decent options. I’d avoid the W (rooms aren’t great, sketchy street, and the interior design makes me feel like I took some strange pill).
Marriott Marquis is the goat

The rooms at the marquis are pretty large
The one time I stayed at the palace, trash was left out in the hall all week and there was no dining options because of a labor strike. I got an extra 50k points out of the lack of hotel operations, would do again

Aren’t they like 3 blocks apart?

It’s equally bad at both these days
I’d rather be on market st than Howard any day of the week.

Palace is a lot more historic, and I am a sucker for the Garden Court ceiling. Tiny rooms though.

I’ve stayed at both for extended projects. Palace if you can get an upgrade…w Cool corner room if it’s easier to swing 39-42 floor. Better drinks at palace better food options immediately around w
I should add both of them are my go to along with the fairmont (because of the Tonga room in SF). Nancy can help you at the palace for a great stay and a potential upgrade.

Depends on your style. Palace is too “old school” for me, so I’d pick the W.

I stay at both on a regular basis and always do the palace when I can
