How rare is it for a consulting firm to hire someone who doesn't want to relocate to one of their offices but can still travel to clients? Interested in a firm that doesn't have an office in my city

Any pros and cons on either getting the capital one venture card or a credit card with United. I want to start traveling more and mostly fly with United since it has a lot of flights out of my nearest airport. Debating on which one would be better.

Looking into credit card, most likely between emirates nbd Bonvoy card or the Emirates offering. Anything better out there? What has been your experience. My understanding is you can convert the emirates points to Bonvoy? Not sure if the same works Bonvoy —> emirates.

I am done with my client interview and it went well but they are asking me to come to gugaon location.
I am from Bangalore location.
I directly said to client that I can't since I have my family here.
When I inform this to my manager he is saying how come u say like this to client.according to kpmg policy u need to travel to anywhere to work.
This is not good right. What should be my reply to the client in such a case and how to handle manager on this?

If my company is deducting tax on reimbursements for example relocation, flight travel, mobile usage, etc. Then how to show in tax filing? bcoz as per my understanding it should not be taxable as I am using my money and company is refunding and no extra income. It's like I have already paid once and while refunding company again deducting. Please guide on this issue.

I want to ask for more money, but don’t want them to see me as a flight risk or that I am not loyal anymore. Home reno financing question. Have a big project coming up in the $120-150k range. Funding sources are:
- 90k from a heloc around prime
- 10k from a credit card that offers promo checks at 2-3% for 12-18 months
- 375k in a brokerage
- 5-6k per month cash that I can put towards the project, loans, or brokerage

I don't want to stop funding the brokerage because my FIRE plan is less numbers based than "hoard like dragon until it's enough" but maybe I should... How would you optimize?
