It should be

like

It's as much your responsibility as your wife's. You should take all of your leave and contribute fully. That would be a strong message.

like

@IBA1 go back to the 50's.
Paternity Leave exists for a reason, it's to allow you to a) help your partner and b) bond with your child. Take all of it.

like

@Associate1 having a baby is quite easy compared to taking care of an infant

like

Yes go for it

like

Yes. Take all of it. Life is too short

like

It's not like you had the baby, so no.

Like a week maybe after the birth

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Anyone here moved from strategy to account?

Learned on the day of the deadline to enroll, that my partner's employer offers voluntary participation on a deferred compensation plan. First time I hear of such a benefit/option after working for years! Any general (i.e. not plan-specific) lessons-learned, gotchas, pointers to offer as we will have to quickly decide to enroll or not?

TIA!

Wondering if anyone can share the approximate timeline after applying to Target Corp. to hearing something from them. Asking for advice- I’ve realized consulting is not the path for me long term and have had plans to quit. I’m currently staffed on a project alone and feel lost as I don’t have much experience in this line of work. Deadline is approaching and I have voiced my concerns to finish in time. Manager is still reviewing my work and the turnaround time to make revisions and finish phase 2 work seems unlikely within a few days. Is it unreasonable to ask for another resource to help finish?
