I'm 100% remote and I have the same issue in that I don't like any of my colleagues. If I had to physically be in the office with them, I would most definitely get fired. Going to the gym helps me work through it. That, and reminding myself that I absolutely love my paycheck and the perks of the company. If you can wear earbuds or headphones, do that and listen to music, podcasts or anything positive and uplifting that can counteract the negativity around you.
You're not alone there. I see and hear irritating things on the daily in the office which I could do without. Just try to focus on the work and then get it out outside the office.
100% a thing. The fact you can see it happening is actually a good sign. A lot of people don't notice until they're completely miserable and taking it out on everyone outside of work. You need to get out of there as soon as you're able. That atmosphere is not going to change. The only thing that will is your outlook on life if you keep being subjected to that negativity every day you show up to work.
All my bosses talk (brag) about is how much money they make on cases. It never used to be like this - it was always about the client and advocation. It's hard not to let it affect your own attitude; you just need daily reminders of why YOU do the job :)
Absolutely! Working in a toxic environment or having to deal with unpleasant people each day does start to affect your personal life. It’s hard for your personality not to change when you’re spending 40 to 50 hours a week being miserable.
