Planning for a Christmas trip to Las Vegas with family( wife and 4 yr old kid). Any suggestion on family friendly resort with nice amenities but not too loud. We are going there mostly for a trip to a Death Valley, Zion and GC. Don’t want to come back to the room and get frustrated with loud noise or drunk people.

Growing up was rough. On my 8th birthday my dad had an accident that led to this death a few days later. He was a good man who took care of us all (I had 3 siblings now 2; lost 1 few years ago). We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Looking for advice from consulting moms and dads - has anyone managed a successful consulting career (not taking a hit in terms of promotions/growth trajectory) and had significant involvement at home with your child(ren) as well? My goal is to be a career consultant, and my spouse and I are thinking about kids in the near future. Both of us are pretty ambitious - think B-school grads with rising careers.

What are some concrete reasons why someone in consulting would be fired, other than the obvious stupid things?

Looking for advice fish fam. Deloitte vs EY-P. Same level - Manager/Director. EY-P pays $50k more for base and maybe $10 to $20k more as bonus. Currently at Deloitte. Is the extra $60-$70k worth giving up my network? Plan to stay in Consulting and hope to make SM/SD. I have a family and my wife is a homemaker. So money does matter. Would have left easily for an $80k bump. Wouldn’t leave for $30k or less. Don’t know what to do with $60k. Pulling my hair out here. HELP Please!!!
