Posting this out of curiosity (follow up from a previous post since a lot of people replied confirming their companies are forcing RTO for remote hires). Why do you think that companies are forcing RTOs on employees that were hired as remote (even prior to COVID)? I understand some roles benefit from working at the same location
My thoughts on reasons:
1) force employees to quit so they can avoid layoffs
2) tax breaks on commercial spaces
3) older C suite execs that want to micromanage

I used to be a happy guy, then over the past 5 years of being in public accounting I’ve gradually turned super cynical and hopeless.
