Chicago? Chicago local is the worst type if you live in the city. Hour plus commute each way. Stay away!!
Seems odd that you would get a per diem for local
Deerfield isn't exactly local...that hour commute is what I'm not to thrilled about.
I did a project in Deerfield for 2 years. Talked them into getting me a hotel when I wanted and per diem. It was nice because I could stay up with the team when I wanted or Uber home when I wanted. I was still cheaper than a tracking resource. Whatever you figure out with your project just get it in writing. (Also make sure you still don't need to go in on Fridays)
Yeah. No per diem for local... If you got a per diem, you wouldn't really be paying for food.
If there's no hotel, they're only paying transport
Are you insane? Take the local project! I'm on one now, transpo is expensed but I don't even get a per diem. You're literally getting the best deal in consulting (assuming local actually means local and not 100 miles away). Not sure why you would suspect an SM would lie to you about transportation being expensed...
Please don't turn down a project because you don't get per diem
I've been able to do some of my best work on the Metra ride. It's a reverse commute, so not crowded. 2 hassles: a)figuring out how to get to your client from the station and back, and b)if you live far from Union Station.
Accenture on a project for Walgreens?!
Regional model, bruh. Take it. There are ppl waiting on the bench bout to get fired.
