Hi All, I wanted to know how is EXL Hyderabad location. In terms of work life, job security, Pay etc. Currently my negotiations are in progress. They are offering me the Hyderabad location with 20LPA Fixed for 6 YOE. Project is UK Banking Related.

Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

Worse. Was told by the partner that I could leave at the end of the phase. A month later I was extended another phase for 6 months without a word from the Partner. Unfortunately, I’m quitting next week. It’s a tough position to be in. Goodluck OP!

Argument I have made in the past: If you’re a strong performer on a single engagement, allowing you to get new experiences in the long term is in the best interest for your firm. Pigeonholing skilled employees into a single role not only drives them away, but also stifles their opportunity to grow into even stronger performers for a broader set of engagements in the future
What if management is ok with that as long as they don’t lose you?
same here, joined for multiple experiences and clients. I think that model has died, and all partners care about is short term rev, not the negative posturing that results from PMO and staff aug.

I said okay, sucked it up, and networked like hell for the next opportunity. Also got stuck into firm building initiatives so that I got better visibility, then used that as a springboard for new roles. And afterwards was crazy cautious and refused some staffing because I knew the partners never let you off the account.
That’s a great idea. And minus the bad Partner, that sounds like it could have been pretty interesting working with Russian clients.
