After some ongoing tension with a coworker, my chef sent a group text saying we both have a "f*cking g*ping c*nty inability to work with others" and suggested we go work the hospital food court. Clearly drunk. I didn't respond and have been calling in sick since.

Now management wants a meeting to "clear the air," but no one's acknowledged how inappropriate the message was. Feeling stuck- could this be harassment or constructive discharge?

I’m an early startup having raised a bit of money from family and friends to help grow my business. Time is moving fast and I’m potties I won’t hit my targets and being the return back to those who invested.
Once I have used the money that’s been invested there’s no way of seeing it again and still bringing the return quick enough.

The numbers still show it’s possible, I still believe in the concept and I’m still growing, I think I just have some imposter syndrome.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
