As a fairly experienced D…It’s a complete joke and makes me want to quit.

The premise here is that no product deserves the full attention of an experienced Director, and if you want to make more money, you have to dilute your impact across a bunch of mediocre low code/no code stuff or you have to go on some BS task force designed by our space cadet leaders. Oh…and if you’re on Concourse or one of the products that generates 50 mill of fraudulent revenue don’t worry about it. You can make senior D while doing the work you like. This only applies to the product teams the Partners don’t care about.

Let your talent cook. And our products actually do need senior oversight. This is a joke move by a joke Org.

Between this and the budget catastrophe that is completely a product of an incompetent strategy group, I’ve never been more down on this Org.

There is no accountability for business case so every product becomes a pet project for whatever partner is willing to have their name attached to it. There’s no pushback by PMs on that partners whims, no actual roadmap execution, endless confusion about funding, lack of execution on revenue and so forth.

There’s a dance each year about what funding and revenue targets look right and feel acceptable to the practice while the strategy gathers dust.

No accountability also means that the strategies themselves are never evaluated for being good or bad either. There’s two angles for failure to meet a business case: the execution or the case itself.

I actually read it as being a parking spot for directors that won’t make partner. Seems like there are a lot of us that want partner but the path seems too hard. So stick us in senior director and pay us a bit more while we wait… probably forever

This honestly just sounds like a way to deal with the fact that we have a lot of directors but still no clear Partner path. I think it is going to look a little silly too considering it doesn’t exist in Consulting. Oh you are a Senior Director, what is that? It kinda feels like a made up IFS title.

P8 if you knew any history then you know that p&t had to make those candidates md because the path to partner in p&t is still not solidified. Just because there are doesn’t mean there will be.
Regardless I know my path so not too concerned. Maybe you are justifying why you won’t be partner to yourself and hence the assurance needed that no one will make partner if they are senior director

I have tried absolutely everything I can think of to limit distractions during the work day and none of it has worked. Working from home has only made it 100 times worse because now I know there are other more interesting things to be distracted by all around me. What do you do to hold focus during working hours? I have to admit that I wasn't terribly impressed by the virtual Co-Lo for Digital. The exception to that, though, was David's insightful comment that leadership knows and expects that many of us are struggling to come back from the pandemic, and it's okay to ask for help and or take a leave. Digital culture, and how we are real and take care of each other, is just AMAZING. That speech alone made me so proud to be here and turned around a lot of my negative thoughts.

On every call, we hear Joe talk about making new Partners and his commitment. I have yet to see any of those ‘commitments’ be reflected in actions or explanations. (eg. No senior directors from commercial GTM going into PCLDE this year …) What?
