Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

I think some people see the DRP as a betrayal or assume you're “checking out,” even when you’re still giving your all. Just remember - you made a decision for your future, and that’s nothing to feel bad about.
So someone told or when the list came down my leadership. they told my Supervisor and they all called me to discuss it. Don't feel bad. I would have perfered a slient email saying denied and not have my Supervisor and office know i tried..which i did get 2 days later.
I would take that as a sign you made a good decision. They are living under the same stresses you are; there's no reason to be that way. In my organization we've been supportive of those who took it and discussed amongst ourselves wanting to take it but not being able to for various reasons in some cases. I'm sorry you're dealing with that, but the lack of support and understanding says more about them then you and frankly I wouldn't want to be stuck in a stressful environment where people only made it worse.
I'm sorry you are experiencing that. I hope it gets better!
Sounds like your coworkers would be the reason why I'd take the DRP!
I simply ask, are your co-workers going to pay your financial obligations if and when you are RIF'd, if you had decided to "tough it out"? I took DRP 2.0 and best decision I have made in a while. Relieved and interviewing for a job in the private sector.
Don’t fret at the end of your day, it’s your decision and you have an obligation to yourself to make the critical decisions that are necessary for your day to day life.
Many people took the DRP and even some who opted in were denied. People will make assumptions and have their opinions but you have to do what is best for yourself not for others.
Many admirable civil servants have taken DRP 1.0 as well as 2.0 including yourself. You are free now at least mentally. Look forward towards your next prospects as you offboard yourself during your final weeks here.
You have to make the decisions that are best for your household.
Why do you have to wait until June 30th?
