McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!
Anyone with designation 'Associate Business Analyst' on Infosys? I recently got offer on a development position but the OL specified my designation as associate business analyst. This seems to be the challenge…. If you identify a certain way, stating your pronouns makes sense, and I appreciate and respect that. What subsequently happened was the effort to have everyone do the same. I’m not opposed to it but if I’m an older white man and put he/him pronouns in my email, it could be interpreted as odd or just have the negative connotation of virtual signaling. Practically speaking, I would prefer people didn’t use pronouns unless identifying that way was important to them individually, and it’s easier to see that I need to pay attention.
Working in a global company, I understand that pronouns are also about cultural diversity. I thought one of my senior managers were a she but they is a he. Names from different background may look confusing for us. When pronouns are clear, it avoids misunderstandings. And also doesn’t hurt anyone.
A lot of people in my org use them. Also people have mentioned the convenience of it when you have a gender neutral name and are emailing someone you’ve never talked to before.
I never did it and still don’t. Even a few years ago when it was the “fashionable” thing to do. For most people, in my view, it is virtue signaling, as they say, but if it is important to you, then keep it. Though it gives away your politics from a mile away. Just make sure you’re ok with that.
