@ EY1 -I'm not a women but feel for all my female colleagues who works with jerks like you. Looks like we do get fidgety even someone tries to find fact to disprove the unequal payment!

Shut up

PwC now has a cohort model for base pay that is not influenced by gender in any way #FTW

@ PwC 1 - that's cool! I was expecting that we have systems in place for that and it's working! So intrigued by Silicon Valley crying foul on gender equal pay

@OP I was making a joke. I actually think your question is very interesting and i'm curious to see the data as well. Do women negotiating with other women fare better? Is it a gap in skills or perception? These would all be interesting things to probe.

I'm toying with the idea of leaving for private practice. It would be nice to make some actual money (my salary is 100k, no raise in 5 yrs). I'm an NYC government litigator with 12 years experience (specialized appellate work). I love what I do and my WLB but my 3hr RT commute is killing me - no part of my research and writing-based job is in person. Is it possible to find an appellate specialist position at a firm? Any other advice about making a switch?

Career choice suggestion :
1. Tech focused company with decent compensation good role - excellent tech stack
2. A Big brand bank with same decent compensation and better role - decent tech stack
3. Bulge bracket bank with legacy (Spring XML kindof) tech stack and (decent + 5lpa + bonus) compensation.

My background : 7+ years Java backend developer with 3+ years in development in latest Spring boot based microservices with Kafka.
