Why do leaders keep comparing how “good”the new staff/seniors have it because they make more money starting out then they did and working 55 hours is better than the 70-80 hours they used to work? Instead they should compare what options they have available to them and what their goals are.

5th year/new manager in audit. Any tips on how to be a successful as a manager?

I am going to start my new job with Big four next week. It is my first time working in big four. I have been working in the boutique public accounting firm for so many years. Any suggestion?

Going into busy season as a "step" mom of elementary age kid. Just found out today that we are getting full custody. Husband works and is in school... Advice please!

For those that have a nanny: how did you find him/her? Been having no luck with nextdoor, care.com and sittercity. I need a part time nanny two days a week. Anyone in the LA area have a referral for me? 😀

Not a Deloitte partner, but I think quite cool for her.

This is a very depressing bowl, I have kids and think public accounting is awesome due to the flexibility!

I used to get 2-3 productive hours after the kids went to bed to catch up on work, chores, shopping, etc but now I'm struggling to have any motivation after the hour-long process of getting kids down.

Thinking about leaving public accounting but not sure if I’m leaving too early. First year audit manager at one of the big4 and I think I could make it to senior manager but definitely not partner. Been highly rated since I joined the firm but I feel I won’t be learning much for the next couple of years before I leave for industry. Im also married with children.

Random question but do you let your kids hang out in your bedroom and use your master bath if applicable? My kids always seem to want to use our bathroom instead of theirs and my spouse doesn't care but I grew up with my parent's room basically being off limits and think I'd prefer it that way.

Not nearly enough messages. Was a senior when I had a kid...so nice of KPMG to NOT tell me the way to properly submit for parental leave back in the day.

Can one quit after taking paternity leave or is there something that say you need to come back for a certain time period in PwC policy?
