Body language can reveal helpful context, but focusing on arbitrary behaviors creates bias and distracts from what actually matters—skills, communication, and values alignment. Interviews should be structured, fair, and rooted in clarity, not games.

I think using things like how someone drinks water as indicating anything is just silly. However, I think that in an interview anything is on the table. How people carry themselves can tell you some things about what they're like. And it just obvious that employers would prefer to hire people who are easy to deal with, so to the extent that comes across in an interview, even in subtle or unspoken ways, it could be meaningful.
