Do you know how to dress for your body type? That’s the biggest consideration when styling yourself. I’d try the stylists at Nordstrom so you can have a sense of what’s flattering on you and go from there.
This has been a struggle for me for the past couple years between budget and fluctuating weight. I feel like I’m just starting to figure it out. What has worked for me recently is building out the basics in my closet. I’m not great with styling or layering, so I keep it simple. I got about 10 Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger pencil and sheath dresses with sleeves relatively inexpensively. I wear those as a standalone outfit without blazers and pair them with an interesting shoe and a watch. I feel elevated and professional in those looks. I just recently started exploring skirts, pants and suiting because I dropped a few sizes this year, still working on figuring out what looks best on my body. I start with a really low budget to make sure certain styles look good on my body before committing to a higher price point. And I had to let go of online shopping for awhile because the model‘s body does not come with the clothes and I’ve been disappointed on more than one occasion by online retailers.
I can't thank you enough for this. God bless you!
