Definitely keep the relationship alive with the client! Once they land somewhere new it would be great for them to advocate for you to have a role there. Or for you to join the client team when there’s an opening. You don’t owe anything to your old agency - so you don’t need to give them a heads-up.
Are you at a new agency that you could potentially bring the client into? Or is there a role for you client-side? Otherwise, it sucks but the agency made their bed and they have to lie in it 😬🤷🏼♀️
