I've seen prices rise and fall over the last year like anyone but my wife and I don't do 1k per month. We are at maybe half of that? That's including the bulk purchase stuff from BJ’s or Sam’s. Otherwise, it's Walmart and Publix for the stuff we’re picky about.

Where do you shop? What kinds of foods do you get? I am a big proponent of grocery shopping at Walmart tbh. I know a lot of people hate it but if you're truly someone who can't stand going into one, do curbside pickup. I've done that since pre COVID and it's been easy, fast, effective. Their prices have risen a lot too but not the point I'm spending 1k. I also go for frozen veggies and fruits when i can - my doctor said those are still a great health option as they're usually frozen at the point of freshness so have most of the same nutrients as fresh, plus I do lots of smoothies so frozen works great for those anyway. Avoid ready meal/freezer meals as those costs add up. Unless y'all have special dietary needs 1k for two is insane
I go to Publix. I went from 500/month to 800/month cause of inflation
I purchased food from the beachside fleet market, Costco, and Publix. Still, it can not resonate with the cost. Suppose the issue is overspending. We really should assess how much we can eat and stop wasting food by throwing away.
I’m not sure what you’re buying or where but if you two eat really healthy then the $$ is a wise investment.
