Retail has honestly ruined Christmas for me. Instead of lights and music I just think about packed shifts, nonstop lines, and the same songs on repeat. On top of that people seem to be at their absolute worst this time of year, impatient, rude, and acting like everything is an emergency. By the time the day actually comes I am already burned out and just want it to be quiet. Has working the holidays changed how you feel about Christmas too?

So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). He has mentioned a few times that he’s worried I’ll get bored of him when I know he can’t afford the same things I can. I think we are beginning to move past this, but now he’s starting to mention things like ‘I am really broke this month’, and last weekend he told me his mum has lost her job and he’ll have to probably pay her rent. I have a lot of sympathy for his situation … tbc

Anyone have any similar experience or insight? My boyfriend asked for space/not really together anymore and he says he started to become nervous about being in a long term committed relationship. Even tho he said he saw me as long term & I’m his best friend and he loves me but why then? Does space help you guys figure it out? (Help / advice please😞)

I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??

I have technical writing experience, but I don’t have experience with clinical studies or clinical trials. Does anyone have any advice on how I can gain more experience in this field? Wonder if anyone can offer advice on which cert to pursue next? I obtained my CompTIA Security+ last year and wondering if I should go for the CySA+ or Pentest+ next. I also have my AWS CCP and will be sitting for the Solutions Architect soon as well. Currently not doing security stuff at work but would love to keep my skills going. I was hoping one of these next certs will help me finally break into a security role and love the idea of pentesting but not sure if the CySA+ is more beneficial.
