Getting in a groove of regular roll forwards is the ultimate sweet spot in this job - you know exactly what you need for data and exactly how to approach everything. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth
EY1, some clients have consistently bad data. Maybe not at EY
If one month RF prices 1/4 of the total engagement fee, as revenue generation perspective, that’s great deal
I generally agree with EY1, would always take a RF over a fresh deal where everything has to be built from scratch. Fresh deals are probably even messier because you know very little About the company. Plus RFs usually don’t require any report writing
Some require updated reports lol
If you have messy data you expect to RF, it’s helpful to do the initial processing/cleaning in PowerQuery so you can throw the rolled data file in there next time and voila
Love a sell side rf where the client books the qoe adjustments into closed periods. Makes me want to end it all
I’ve done 5 consecutive monthly rollforwards before for the same deal 😂
