I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

What are some good personal finance books?
Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

I had an CA$82k senior AD salary in Toronto at a digital ad agency early 2010s if that helps.
Honestly, it's always better to jump in order to get paid more and change the title (unless you're at Rethinks or Cossettes, in which case don't jump!).
Getting a raise within an agency is very tough (especially as a junior) and would never be more than 2-4k. But a jump is not a guarantee for a better $ either. I know, for instance, that John St severely underpays everyone and people take a pay cut to get in. In-house pay more. Startups pay more. Shittier agencies generally pay more. But "you can only sellout once in your career".
I'm not sure how could anyone afford being a junior in Toronto anymore. Hang in there.
35-45k. (First job)
Could go as high as 55k but rarely.
Maybe 2 years. Depends on number of things, what kind of agency, whether you won awards, produced much etc.
How many years of experience? And how much more did you make as you progressed year to year?
Probably around 50k
Thanks. And when are you typically not considered a junior anymore?
Fair enough. And do you know approximately how much of a raise you should vouch for each year?
Thank you. This has been very helpful. I appreciate it!
One last and final question. Not really in it for the money but just out of curiosity in terms of salary - how quickly can one make it to $100k?
In Toronto? Um.. maybe Sr level with awards could make 100k. Mostly it's where ACDs start. So.. 5-6 years? I moved to New York instead and started making that at the mid level 👍
