Frankly speaking I’m worried about Salesforce’s future when they are too heavily dependent on just CRM suite of products(Slack and Tableau is struggling and I can’t fathom the money they dumped on Mulesoft) , their biggest competitor Microsoft seems to have so many advantages in the form of Office 365, Azure Cloud, Windows and obviously entire Dynamics suite of products which by the way is one of their fastest growing businesses
Saturation point is near. That's why Benioff is on a roll with acquisitions - some works and some not so much. But from what I have seen Salesforce has phenomenal marketing and they can reinvent themselves again and again.
I am bullish on their GenAI bandwagon, having said that, Salesforce is notorious for cannibalism to their ISVs and SI partners ecosystem. This has more intense in recent years - Salesforce own proserv taking on jobs that they won't normally do and coming out with features to kill many ISVs.
So, in long run their partner ecosystem might not hold up and mothership will swallow all the profitable areas.
It would take a Salesforce/Oracle merger to bring SF into that tier imo, and they still wouldn't be considered really at that same level culturally. The FAANG companies are known for their high pay/innovative cultures/high market caps.
