Yeah it’s pretty weird. On top of that, many people who are still on payroll / severance interview for these jobs too. Often a lot of shuffling around happens, but it looks good to investors to say we got rid of x people / dollars and then filled x new roles at lower price points. It’s a total shit show and reeks of mismanagement.
Look at the salary range. They are hiring cheap help.
Seems to be the norm here—put 4-5 in a territory with room for 1-2 and let them fight it out.
Then, split the territory, and do it all again.
Recycle and bring in cheap talent.
They have always done this. In with the out, new with the old

Every company will do this. There’s a good chance the hiring managers did not even have a say in who was getting let go (also a common practice).
It certainly doesn’t make it right.
