About tired of the agency “life” thinking about going to the client side and being the one who gets catered to! I’m done babysitting unreasonable clients! How to make the jump, blights welcome.
Project management roles are the worst
Looking for tips on how to calm my creative partner down when we get negative feedback on a project? I understand negative feedback is a part of the job but they always freak out. Any tips on how to manage that conversation?
Analysts and Associates. Don't wear a backpack to the office and don't bring one to client meetings. And by all means don't play Pokemon Go when I see you. It's cute for about three seconds...
Taking some time off. Need some book recommendations. Some light interesting non-fiction. No self help or management books. Just interesting topics that won’t make me think about work.
Let's talk client side. AKA the Dark Side. What titles and roles does a creative slot into naturally? You know without having to go back to business school and all.
I have a 3 day headache from trying to meet crazy fucking 2 day reactive deadlines... Bc all of a sudden our client is walking all over us and client management is MIA
My client got F'ed over by one of their employees failing to disclose some things to the SEC I caught it brought it to the clients attention now I'm stuck doing diligence on over 100 employees. I keep catching things. I feel like I'm creating more issues for the clients but at the same time I'm protecting the firm as a whole which they're thankful for. Do I have anything to worry about by finding all these problems?
Looking for recommendations on good books to read on people management, building relationships, and using those relationships to influence/drive actionable change in complex environments. TIA!

Any recommendations for books or materials to prepare for Amazon or FAANG product (technical) manager roles? I’m assuming this was asked many times, I haven’t had luck locating ideal threads but will keep looking as well! Any advice would be appreciated 🙂
i swear all my work is to just fudge the deliverable to give the client or my boss the end result they want. our work is built on a piling hot bed of BS
Anyone witness slackers who got into companies you have no idea how? Had a coworker who does jack chit at work besides chatting on Facebook yet lands at a faang company? I guess if he brings the same work ethic he will be spit out for sure. Or maybe he just had no interest in doing project work.
Taking a client call with a senior exec from airport but no lounge access :(. Any suggestions on how to handle this without the usual noise all around?
Looking for pharma-specific market access/product launch/life cycle management books/textbooks! Total rookie in this space. Thank you!
Just sharing a story. Thanks to months of therapy I have finally become brave enough to quit in May, when my current project is over.
Hello fellow Freelancers! I’ve just quit my FT job as a senior accountant at a Big 4 accounting firm. My hope is to gain enough freelance work to continue working on my own and enjoy freedoms of being a freelancer. Please send me a message if you are looking for a freelance CPA!
What's the latest that bachelors H1b receipts come out? Firm lawyers have advised waiting till end of June
Got a call from Amazon devices, but it sounds like it can be a crazy / difficult place to work and no one stays there long. What’s the consensus regarding Amazon, is it worth the stress or should I look elsewhere? The salary wouldn’t be that much more than my current one, but the stock vesting might make this interesting
Does anyone know how insurance work when you leave a company? Say I leave on day X, does my insurance ends on day X as well or it will last til the end of the two week period after my last paycheck (because insurance premium is still held from paycheck)? And does medical insurance reimburse / cover based on the date of treatment or the date of they processing the claim? Thank you so much!
What is the usual salary bump when you move from associate to Senior associate in KPMG (%, etc.)
Have been wondering how much FAANG product managers get paid vs MBB for a like to like year of experience. Example, 4 years out of mba one would be Principal at BCG vs level 7 PM at Amazon. What does the delta look like at 8 years? 10 years etc?
The good: middle seat open. The bad: there’s a kid behind me kicking my chair. The ugly: it *reeks* of BO on the plane. All in all this is probably one of my better flights. 🤷♀️
At Cisco and haven't gotten a raise since I've been here in almost 3y. I didn't pursue it the first 2y because I had close family deaths and poor performance. Now I'm outperforming my peers and ready to look elsewhere. Word on the street is that my org is getting stiffed pretty hard during focals. Any chance of bringing an outside offer to the table and getting a raise? Promotion? Just curious what your experiences are like. Managers, tech leads, whatever..
Does anyone have any experience with BCG Platinion Risk Consultant case study interviews? This is my first time doing a case study interview and I'm currently trying to prepare, but most case studies I have found online are more in management consulting.
Leave for another consulting firm even tho I’m up for promotion in a few months at my current firm? Pros of leaving are better work life balance, not stuck in one industry, minimal travel. Cons are comp - I’d be making slightly less base than what I would after promo (tho higher then right now) and significantly less bonus
Working remote this week and can't just sign off at 3:30 on a Thursday. Such a disappointment 😩😩😩
I have final rounds coming up but the company has not been very transparent with the salary. Is it okay to ask the recruiter more details about what to expect for salary on my final round prep call ?
Being recruited by Deloitte —wht would be the level & salary band for someone with 4 years of consulting exp, masters, & sec clearance. Got low balled @ BAH & want to make sure it doesnt happen again
Do a lot of consultants eventually found or work at startups? From what I’ve experienced and heard, they both seem like fast-paced environments full of intelligent people. But from people I’ve seen, most consultants exit to industry/mature companies. Is there a reason why more aren’t going towards startups that I’m missing?
Last week I was given amazing news that I was pregnant. Today, after my repeat blood work results, I was told my HCG levels aren’t rising adequately. I am crying in the bathroom stall at work.
