Seriously I need a suggestion below...... My joining at IBM is on 26th September and they are asking me to be onboard for physically, can I ask them for virtual onboarding, also when I asked for WFH so HR is saying after onboarding your manager will let you know whether it will be WFH or WFO..... Barclays project I got in IBM.
The location they are offering is pune, I have asked them to change it to Noida/gurgaon but they said their project is not there.

I had offer from IBM for Barclays account in May
I rejected the offer as they asked for physical onboarding
Also I heard Barclays account is not good and we have to give lots of client interviews for project confirmation
Also no hikes in IBM
Better you look for better offer else where

My joining date 31 OCT, and yes they asked me to join physically for onboarding. Also i am confused with Project assignment. In the portal its says job is for Pune location. But I have told them my base location should be Noida. My concern is that.. do i need to go to PUNE ? Or work from home is allowed.
So, You are talking or which company Barclays’s or HCL?
Even though Barclays is in Pune, the IBM employees in Barclays account can work from any other base location via WFH if manager does not have any issue.
How did you get to know the project before joining ?

So am guessing this, also in web seminar one question was asked for location so they told me they have only 3location(Mumbai,pune, banglore)

They can give the location apart from Pune if negotiated. IBM Barclays people are mostly working frm home.
For IBM employees or Barclays FTE?
Hi onboarding will be face to face they will give you I'd and lappy and later you can continue WFH.
Also depends on the project.
I joined on 29th August, it depends on project but are you sure your project is Barclays because they never tell projects before joining. Also it is mandatory to be present physically for onboarding
Have someone heard about Parle Project in IBM.
Barclays is not so good project , has lots of work, str8ct deadlines and yeah down the line it will be hybrid and will require to work few days from office.
