I got rejected for an interview from Big 4 NY Audit, even had referrals from Manager + level people. 3 years w/ audit senior at mid size firm, 2 years fed tax at big 4, and 1.5 years Internal Audit healthcare. Currently self employed for a year to work on investing. Do I literally need a partner level referral to get back into Audit? I thought there was an accountant shortage.

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I started out as a graphic designer. Worked for about 4yrs in different roles. Then i started a digital design role for 2 yrs and then made my transition into ux. i have been in a ux role for 5 years. But i want to steer my career towards something more creative. Like in 5-10 years I wouldn’t want to be a specialist or a ux director. I d like to be an art director or creative director. I love branding & marketing but also product. Would love something that allows me to do both?

I quit my old job but am working PT for them till they find a replacement. Apparently they could not get a refund on a flight they booked me and my manager is asking if (not me, but I can see it in Teams) I can reimburse for the ticket. It’s $800, anyone know if this is legal?
