Interned at D, full time at OW. There aren’t enough words to describe how much better life at OW is.
You got into Deloitte?!? I heard that is harder than getting in to Harvard!
I was wondering when this would come up. Glad we got the obligatory reference out of the way. Based on this year’s Ivy admissions report Harvard might be harder now lol
OW without a doubt
It’s not a bad question especially as a campus hire. You get a bigger chance to explore a variety of industries at D vs OW. But money and culture is prob way better at OW.
D1 are you GPS? Agree GPS siloes you into only govt projects but it’s pretty easy to move around industries in commercial
Pro
Only choose Deloitte if you hate money. Probably a marginally better wlb at D but significantly lower pay across most levels!
OW.
OW is better. even in exiting to tech opportunities.
OW for sure. Salary and culture are significantly better. I worked at D - ex worked at OW.

OW!
I personally didn’t know too much about OW when I was approached by a recruiter. Deloitte had a bigger name imo and I sorta care about that. But at the same time i want to make the best choice for my career
It’s a fair question to ask. From the perspective of someone who has worked at neither firm, I would personally choose OW in your shoes. Deloitte has a big name because it’s more easily recognizable, but OW has a LOT of respect both within and outside of Consulting circles. I’d expect that you would experience better growth there and have a leg up on exit opps down the road.

What if my next career move I want to be in big tech... then is Deloitte or OW better?
Lol Kearney 1 really packed in a lot into that analogy. To be more accurate, I was flipping burgers at In-N-Out and now cooking filet mignon at a 5 star Michelin restaurant. Blue Bottle still works, though (MBB is Peets?). But the point is - if you’re interested in something technical, Deloitte/ACN is probably a better fit. And sTratEgY consulting is a passé scam - so grateful to not be working long hours for peanuts.
What firm are you coming from?
Straight from ugrad to grad? Congrats on both offers, go OW
