Is it easy for someone in tech working in ops/business side to switch to MBB consulting?

When should a stub start getting worried about not having much work and low billable hours?
I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options? Fyi, I like my practice group, so I don’t want to change to a different group within my firm, hence would have to lateral, if I have to. Also, other co-1st years are churning in high hours.

I got an offer in industry! Feeling excited but at the same time very confused. It’s a good offer that I don’t want to pass up but also feel extremely bad leaving during busy season. Is a 3 week notice enough? Do I let this opportunity go and just hope something will line up down the road ? Thoughts ?

Should I leave my company? Been here 1.5 years and was told I was getting a management promotion 5-6 months ago.Still no solid traction and they are opening up a req for it 😑no one on the current sales team has ever been promoted (2 years)except our boss who has been promoted 3 times. Is it a big deal if a partner questions how much time you spent on something? Can’t they just write off time that seems excessive, or am I missing something? Sometimes I take a really long time to do things because I switch matters frequently, and I do a lot of research to make sure I’m doing things right.

I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.
