Are you happy on your team? Are you happy at your company? What are your career goals or the growth opportunities you’re not getting now? There’s no blanket right answer, depends on a lot of personal nuances. I know people in fed consulting that have made a happy career with quick promotions on single accounts.
It's been a revolving door project because leadership and clients are toxic.
I have been putting up with it for 2 years now because of promotion opportunities but have not seen a drastic change in my wallet. Have been thinking that it's no longer worth it to grind it out.
- stay on current project = things stay the same
- switch roles internally = depends entirely on the role, but there will be change. Are you overall happy with your company culture and career direction?
- switch to new company = requires getting a new job, adjusting to new environment, learning the ropes. May be entirely different

I am trying to leave my current company but I'm extremely picky on my next destination, so don't get a lot of second round interviews.
