Skymiles members:

If you book a round trip flight, departing on December 27th, 2022 and returning in January 2023, do you get the MQDs and MQMs for the year that you flew (split up) or is it the year that the itinerary completed (2023)?

I was almost certain it was the former but the Delta representative I spoke to told me it was the latter. When searching on Google, I’m finding older articles that tell me it was the former as well.

You will get credit in 2022 for the flights flown in 2022 and in 2023 for the flights flown in 2023.

100% positive. The agent was either wrong (their quality has gone down recently) or misunderstood your question.

like

Appreciate it. Yeah their quality has gone down a lot recently, both the customer service line as well as flight attendant quality.

I think it’s after each leg? You’d get better answers from the Delta Reddit page if you post there.

like

Confirmed that MQDs only apply to the date flown BUT miles and MQMs for the whole trip will generate after the entire trip is complete

Planning a trip to Rome and Naples with day trips to Tivoli and Pompeii. Is 1 week enough? I feel like reading through 3/4 day Rome and 2 day Naples itineraries, the trip seems rushed. I have unlimited PTO but my SO is limited in time (but luckily he can work extra hrs and then use less PTO). I would say max we could do is 1.5 weeks but adding on 3-5 more days seems almost too much? Thoughts? For reference, I did Venice-Florence-Rome in a week and it seemed okay but it also wasn’t as planned out

Anyone who has started up a side hustle whilst working in consulting - is it generally a good idea to let your employer know or will they make your life difficult/try to push you out if they know?

(Context - I need the extra income to have a shot at affording grad school, I work for a small boutique, job contract was ambiguous on the issue. Side hustle is selling stuff I make as a hobby on Amazon)

Thanks!

I’ve been working to an unhealthy degree lately. And I’ve been making the excuse that I have a lot of work right now, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m addicted to it. Part of it is anxiety and perfectionism. But my behavior is now actively harmful to myself and starting to harm my marriage.

How do I stop? I’m not talking work-life balance. I mean, how do I say, “I don’t care that the client wants this tomorrow and I’m not close to done, I’m going to sleep tonight”?

Given my other life responsibilities, this is creating a huge strain & I feel like this is slowly getting harder & harder on my spouse & kids.
