Is there a link or something you're referring to because otherwise I'm a bit confused on what you're referring to exactly?
It’s hard enough to do our jobs without having to navigate political statements in the break room or at someone’s desk. I just hope leadership steps up and finds a way to keep the focus on our mission and the people we serve, not on political posturing. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way.
In my experience and observation over 25+ years across federal agencies, the vast majority of federal employees are democrats or left leaning. And in terms of being outspoken, often obnoxiously so, it’s more like 95%. Personally, I agree that it is disruptive and creates a hostile and unwelcome workplace environment when partisans are being openly (and often aggressively) political. But it’s interesting that there only seems to be concern about it when considering the possibility that it could be the tiny minority of people on the other side who might speak up.

You’ll find that places where people routinely carry weapons are typically conservative. Places where people are “helpers” lean more liberal. It’s not hard to make educated guesses.
