Hey folks
I got a call from TCS to interview for a new unit formed within org with the name of Business Transformation Group as per new org restructuring. Anyone from TCS who can help to understand more about this?
Does it cater to only niche technologies or how does this actually function?

Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??
PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

Call that recruiter up and hand them their ass! Common sense and an ounce of professional experience should have told them to ask you first about contacting anyone at your current company. They must be brand new at the recruiting gig cuz this doesn't sound like standard process at all. Actually go to the recruiters boss and complain. They need retraining asap before they ruin other lives
👆🏻Agree. Also besides keep looking for a job, confront your boss; he's being a child.
Well it wasn't the recruiter who inquired but one of the account leads who I interviewed with. Is 9am too early for a beer? It's gonna be one of those days.
Your boss is being petty. Confront him or her, explain you were looking around and maybe even explain why. Money, unhappy, whatever it is. Maybe he or she will be an adult and discuss things with you, try to find a plan to improve things. Or maybe he or she will continue to be a child in which case you end the conversation professionally and with a level head and work hard to find another job asap. Either way you're out in front of this thing. Also call the recruiter and give some hell.
...Turns out I didn't get the offer and now things are real awkward and tense. My boss hasn't said a word to me and has legit been giving me the death stare for the past two days...
...Obviously besides aggressively looking for a new job, what else should I do? I'm pretty salty about this and kind of want to tell the recruiter at that company how fucked up it is that said person put me in this situation. Should I even waste my time or just chin up and march forward?
I had a good inclination but sealed the deal when my AP ironically oversaw an iChat convo when my boss plugged in their laptop to present. Said something like "My buddy at Agency X told me that so and so is interviewing over there. He's not gonna get it though" The more I type this out the more ridiculous this all sounds. Can't wait to GTFO of here.
This happens more than you think. Sucks because apparently your rep is getting worse with every meeting you take.
How did you find out how the snitching occurred? Do you think the unauthorized reference cost you the job? March forward unless you want to get into some gangster shit. All of these people suck.
Still worth telling the recruiter. Even if it's not their fault, they should send candidates to that interviewer anymore
Happened to me. The girl who snitched on me then went to sales side and I ended up at a brand new agency that just won a large CPG account, so everyone was clamoring for a meeting, including her. She ended up with $0 and was put on our vendor black list. The industry is a small world, don't fuck with people.
Good managers who find out valuable employees are interviewing proactively meet with them to find out why and rectify the situation. Do you and your boss have previous bad blood OP?
And by "fix", I mean actively search for another gig for you...they should be leading that effort.
You should ALWAYS be having conversations. I'd continue to aggressively look for a job, but I'd also be very direct and discuss the current tension and the situation clearly and without being defensive or aggressive. The passive aggressive death stare bullshit is amateur. An agency should always meet a potential future client, even if just to get better perspective on how to serve their current roster. The same goes for employees. Remember: be useful to your industry, not your fucking boss.
It's not the recruiters fault. This douche he interviewed who is making it his mission to spoil this. The boss should be cool about it and have a proactive conversation rather than acting like a child scorn. GTFO
Shouldn't*
Yuck what a dick. I'd call the recruiter
It's laughable that your boss acts like a kid instead of reaching out to see what made you go to an interview in the first place. Leave asap.
So let me see if I got this, someone at your company who you're friends with, saw the laptop screen of your boss and saw your boss was chatting with his boss about you??
This happened to me, but I aced my interviews. My boss was very salty and had me unceremoniously resign shortly. I was pretty upset about the situation and over time I learned that there's rarely a good way to exit. Let the haters keep hating.
