Wife applied for a change of visa status to H4 and H4 EAD in Aug’22. Current wait times are around 8 month for approval. Her F1 OPT was expiring in Feb’23. We were preparing for 2-3 months of no income and some turmoil on the job front.

H4 and H4 EAD both approved today! Didn’t even take 3 months. So anyone in the same boat, you have hope.

Protip: We used a lawyer to file the applications and sent a letter explaining the urgency. Seems to have worked. Cost us 1.2K

My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

if my PERM is filed in 6th year and approved , i140 pending and h1b maxing out ..can i extend h1b to 7th year?
