How unfortunate to read that, that's why it's always important to belong to a drivers' union to help you force the employer to fulfill its responsibilities.
Agree! A good union is invaluable in our field
I am a driver with 2 years of experience, and in my first 6 months my employer presented irregularities like the ones you mention, I decided to change my place of work, and I see that it is a more common case of irregularities.
That is absolutely ridiculous, I'm glad to hear you're organizing and doing something about it
Your employer sounds like a terrible person. I hope the strike goes your way but you should definitely leave that place if you can't fix this
You can and should report them to the Better Business Bureau, you can even do it anonymously so that they won't know it was you. Nobody should have to work without getting a fair wage in a timely manner!
