Once again, I am left with the remnants of the mess that my manager created by not keeping a close eye on our operations team. Now, a shipment is missing, and guess who is dealing with all the emails and phone calls?

I sympathize with you! I also do the same thing every time my team makes a mistake, I have to clean up their messes and make sure everything is done the right way. But guess who is not permitted to make mistakes?

As operations manager, my main concern is that each person is in charge of doing their job well and if someone makes a mistake, that person will be in charge of fixing any inconvenience caused by their mistake.

How strange that a manager leaves the heavy work to a subordinate, right? Soon I know you will have the opportunity to be a manager and do better.

How unethical does a person have when they do that, stop facing a problem so that someone else does, that same type of person is the one who steals your achievements, right?

What a pity friend, but some say that it is a way to be better in the future, you have already gone through your position, and when it is your turn to go through the position of your manager you will do magnificently.

It's a shame they have a bad operations team but it's even worse to work cleaning up messes alone, it's really unfortunate, I hope you can solve the situation but the worst thing you must be experiencing is explaining to customers about the product that I did not arrive

That is a bad manager because a committed manager does not do that, that is to say, a manager committed to the company and to you as its worker works hand in hand with you to achieve a quick solution to the problem.

Surely you are the person who is in charge of solving all your boss's problems, you have an abusive manager and you can report this type of situation because it goes beyond your responsibilities.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Recently graduated from pharmacy school and seeking jobs.
Walgreens offered 50K sign on bonus and I asked for 10K extra to accept offer and move to another city for 2 years. They accepted my request.
Starting pay is $55.05/hr though. From your experience, is this a good offer? Is it worth taking?

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? Hello, Would love some insights pls! Got an offer for a SCM rotational program after graduation with $63k base in the Midwest area. Is it a good offer? If not, any tips on how to negotiate?

How much can you earn if you are really good at managing the supply chain? I'd like to know how much you make starting out as well as your salary after a few years, please

I'm glad people can order things online and get them the next day; but it makes my job harder because a lot of the people in my company don't see that we just don't have the infrastructure for that kind of operation, so they need to order it BEFORE they need it the next day

Supply Chain shortages were supposed to be "temporary" because of COVID. Then they were "temporary" because of the war. Now they're "temporary" because of the infllation. Do you really think we will go back to normal or this is definitely the "new normal"?

I'm trying to stay sane working at this FF company where I have been a manager for a little over two years. I'm overworked; my boss dumps tasks on me just for being the go-to guy, as he fondly calls me. Being held responsible for getting an understaffed team through stresses me a lot.

People look to me for solutions, but I don't have to be the answer to them all. I'm on the verge of quitting. At this point, I'd take up any job in any other industry, even if I don't get paid as much. Do you have any advice on how to handle this situation?

What would be the best time to let my team know that we are closing down? It will happen next month, so I figured that in about a week or two should be good enough to give them a chance to start looking elsewhere.

Average salary compensation for a senior buyer in the US and what’s outlined within your duties?

I'm a director for a logistics company and I'm heartbroken because on Monday I'll have to lay off my entire staff and declare bankruptcy. Things have been hard since 2020, clients dropping left and right and costs are rising. We don't have money at all to provide for our employees, let alone to cover some of our debt. I never would've expected to be in this situation but life is unpredictable.

I understand why so many cities are trying to limit cars and make their neighborhoods more "walkable," but it really complicates deliveries. No parking spot? Then I can't really make a delivery. Has anyone here ever gotten a ticket for not being in a parking spot while making a delivery?

Right now, work is slow due to statewide restrictions. There isn't much to do but we're still required to come to the office everyday. I waste around 3 hours daily between commuting and getting ready, on top of the surging gas prices. How do I talk my manager into letting us WFH? It's not like coming to the office does any difference.

If you had to guess, what will logistics and supply chain look like in the next 10 years?

Saw this in another bowl so thought I’d do one here 😅
