Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Totally relatable, especially if you have a good rapport with superiors and colleagues. However it’s probably the best time to look so that if an opportunity comes up you can take it because you “want to” instead of “need to”.

Never fell guilty about it. Just because you’re content where you are right now doesn’t mean you’ll be content next year. Always keep your options open and be willing to grow at another firm. Your company doesn’t care about you from the high level when it comes to tough business decisions, keeping your options open is your leverage from that.
Nope. Always look for a opportunities. People get stuck in their roles and don't realize that you can get paid double then what you make now. Now it varies, what does your job offer now. You need to be able to distinguish what your looking for. If it's not at your current position then keep it moving. You got to take your career into your own hands. Happy hunting
