Are you in IT? If yes you can do privacy, security, Controls advisory, project management etc
Lol you’ll get bombarded with replies on here that you’re stuck forever but that’s obviously not the case. I enjoy it so I’m making a career out of it, but Ive had lots of colleagues move out into lots of other areas of finance. At this point if you want to transition you’ll need to interview for staff level positions or senior staff if you have some skills that translate. Honestly you can move into any area of finance as long as you’re willing to start over a bit and DONT TRY TO OVERSELL YOURSELF IN THE INTERVIEWS.
You do not have functional experience in any of the roles you’ll interview for but instead your strengths are in project management, learning new and complex processes, risk identification, great soft skills, understanding of the beginning to end financial reporting process, etc.
It’s all relative man
Non-IT role. Pure financial risk
Congratulations you are now consigned to a life of audit!
