Starting at a new NYC hospital. Established great rapport w/ hiring manager in interview but the couple of times I emailed during recruitment (TY email & update on my HR clearance post offer), I did not receive a response. I asked for time to chat about expectations & individuals in the organization I should plan to connect w/ when I start, but also did not receive a response. However, HR has been very responsive and they have cleared me to start next week. Is this a red flag? Any advice? TYSM!

Wondering if anyone can share the approximate timeline after applying to Target Corp. to hearing something from them. Applied 9/1 and on the applicant portal the status still says “in progress.” I got a great internal referral, but I’ve not reached out to the hiring manager. 😬 I know there were a few hundred applicants — what’s a realistic timeline and what could I say to the hiring manager if I reach out to them. The HR says the delay is happening because the people who need to approve are on leave. Are they playing around or keeping on hold? Do they actually release offer after this much delay? How much should a person with a Masters in pharm/tox expect to make?

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!
