I agree... but also just finished CPE to renew my CPA 🤔
I think it depends. I just did the Salesforce admin cert and one of their cloud certs, and you definitely need to know the shit to pass. Like you can’t just be a good test taker. That being said, for many of these cloud certs/tech certs, it just tests your ability to think and process stuff. It doesn’t mean you can apply the stuff in real life. I think it really depends on your attitude for how you approach these certs. If you actually go about it methodically and try to learnt the stuff in a way you’ll absorb it past the test, I think they can be great. If you are just learning the content to pass the test, I think they’re pretty useless.
I think what I mean by this is that for some you have to pay hundreds to “keep” your cert every 2 years and it’s just a lot.
