Assuming offices open back up - who here still rocks a full suit in the summer and any tips for staying cool in the heat?
Getting really sick & tired of the “run straight to your boss” thing whenever someone doesn’t like the littlest thing. What happened to people actually talking to each other in our industry?!

So as someone who is making the most of the sales these days... What are you favorite places to buy suits?
I only like pant-suits (no skirt-suit recs please). I am hourglass-shaped, with big hips + 32DD bust and a small waist, overall a size 4-6. I tend to like skinny pants in a suit. Would love fun color pant-suits (like dark green, etc.)
Thanks for any tips!
Another Mexico City q:
• Are Roma Sur / Roma Norte cute neighborhoods to stay in? We’re looking for low key neighborhoods to stay in vs high end of loud.
• Any must eat restaurants? We booked Quintonil because Pujol was all booked. Is it overrated/is there another place we should be looking at?
Is it worth it to make a lateral career move in a more interesting field for 5-20% more pay at a F100 company as a current A2? I found what sounds like my dream job at a great company but the pay isn’t crazy and I know I wouldn’t be progressing as fast as in accounting. Any thoughts?

Is it unreasonable for me to ask my husband to leave his job (or request unpaid time off) to take care of our children? We have been trying to both work from home with 2 kids at home (ages 2 and 4) and it has been a general shitshow every day. I’m dropping the ball at work constantly, working till 2am almost every night and working every weekend, and the kids are suffering too (way too much tv time and not enough outdoor time and constantly acting out for attention as we are unable to engage...

Any tips on how to be more empathetic to a significant other’s anxiety. He has always had a little anxiety, but since the pandemic it’s just been a lot more and I’m finding it harder and harder to be patient and not lash out at him.
Another victory for Black Lives Matter. Seattle’s first black police Chief is resigning after the city council proposed cutting her pay by $100,000 (which never happened to her white male predecessor) and refused to denounce anarchists repeatedly surrounding her house.
Thoughts in continuing to rent in a small town just outside the city and staying remote vs moving to a bigger city and paying significantly more? Make 100k, paying 1k/mo in rent, maxing 401k, roth IRA, HSA, and extra in brokerage. No plans of buying a house (want to keep renting for flexibility as I invest the rest but obv can change down the line).

I began a new position 2 months ago and took on a managerial position where I oversee a team and a week ago, my manager and I was discussing a delay that happened and how she gave my team feedback and suddenly she said to me that she doesn’t mind restructuring the team and make it a team where everyone reports to her. She also said that the only reason she is “allowing” me to lead is to gain management experience. I was shocked because I got hired as an experienced manager. What would you do?
I was given a promotion 6mos ago & told that the position was a lateral move & a raise would be given at my 6 month mark. Throughout my time at time at this company I’ve realized that they call people in to give their raise on the exact date of milestones (i.e: 6 mos, 1yr, & so on). It’s now been one week since my 6 months in this new position. I’d like to reach out to my boss and set up a meeting to review my work & discuss a raise. Should I wait a bit longer or should I set this up now?
