SOS!!!!
I just got an offer for a customer consulting role for Financial Services at PwC but I felt that the interview process was too easy. It was 3 conversations on mostly behavioral questions when I was expecting for it to a bit deeper or to be given cases. Any PwC folks have similar experiences? Worried of the talent I’d be working with or if this is the kind of consulting that I want (similar to MBB)
How do I get better at giving interviews?
Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone reading this post is enjoying their Friday afternoon and staying safe. I understand there may be some reluctancy, but I am asking if someone can refer me to a consulting position. I recently became unemployed because my employer was not paying me for the hours I worked. For example, if I worked 100 hours a month, my compensation was only for about 30 hours a month. Needless to say, that is not livable. My LinkedIn is http://linkedin.com/in/worthingtonchristopher. Thank you in advance for your help.

It will likely hurt you getting the new job if you tell them you’re going to bschool (ie leaving in next couple yrs.)
You can certainly get recs from your current company but you will likely need some from your new company too. Could hurt if you haven’t done anything meaningful by the fall.
Also, check when apps open to know when you’ll get the rec questions - you’ll want to ensure the recommendation writers at current company still can write you a good detailed rec. it is ok to give them notes of projects / deals you want to highlight - in fact it is appreciated so they have some guidance.
Thanks! That's good perspective. I didn't even think of the possibility of not having any significant deals, projects, etc by the time I'd ask for rec letters from the new employer.
I'm inclined to just stay with my current employer, get my MBA, and then perhaps post-MBA pursue a career with a different firm. Might not make sense to take an extra $50k for 1.5 years when it could hurt long term outcomes
