It’s definitely a test to see how you handle ambiguity. It’s a test to see how you problem solve and how you work!
I would say prioritize a few questions (no more than 3) and then do your best. This company probably knows their work environment is ambiguous, and wants someone who can come in and handle the ambiguity and who can prioritize their work and figure out efficient ways to move forward!
But yeah if there are pivotal things in the assignment confusing you, try to get some clarity, and then do your best and make assumptions where you have to!
