Talking about annoying customers, the last-minute shoppers always get me. When I worked at Walmart, we closed at 11:00 pm, but there was this one couple with kids who’d stroll in at 10:30 and reach self-checkout right at closing. They’d scan every item slowly while everyone waited, hoping they’d hurry. But they never cared. I never understood their last-minute shopping strategy, it was definitely frustrating!

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
