Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? How do you address pay discrepancies? I just found out a VT hired a year after me, with less experience, is making $2 more an hour. She was hired when they were desperate for staff which I’m guessing is why, but I’ve felt bitter ever since finding out.

Hello everyone! So my dream job is to work at a veterinary office and I wasn’t able to go to college for it due to my financial issues and I still have that issue. I wanna get my foot in the door of any vet office I live in Maryland and I will start out as anything I just don’t know where to start. I have lots of experience with customer service and I love love love pets! I have Pets of my own and they are my world.

I need help. I think I’m being underpaid at my job I’ve been at for 3 1/2 years. I’m a full time receptionist for a veterinary hospital but I also manage the reception area (I answer all questions and if someone makes a mistake I’m the one the fix it) and am an in house trained veterinary assistant but can do a techs job (unlicensed) and I do help the technicians out anytime they need and I’m only getting paid $13 an hour while a crew member at arbys gets paid $15 . What should I do ?

I’ve noticed an increase in clients discussing breeding their pets. Animals that, IMO, definitely should not be bred. What do you say to encourage the client to reconsider?
