Ed is the man! Since the pandemic, I've switched exclusively to Delta and will do my best to stick with them when I get on the next engagement.

Awwwwww yeah 3 years of platinum status, let's go!

United is getting into supersonic travel though 😜

Wish Southwest plans to do the same!

I've been delta platinum for years BTW, but I wouldn't fly with them unless my company is paying for it.

Yasssss

Sameeee. Platinum for another year

United already did this for their highest tier. Did delta do it for everyone?

United still doesn't have suites!

New to consulting. I’ve used AA in the past. Is it worth to stick or move to Delta? Currently don’t have a status with AA

@BCG2 Looking at the top 10 metro areas by population:

1. NYC- All 3 (AA is behind the other 2 but codeshares fully with JetBlue which evens it up)
2. LA - Delta + AA (AA is reducing its emphasis here but Alaska is OneWorld; United has a focus city here so it isn’t terrible)
3. Chicago - United + AA
4. Dallas - AA
5. Houston - United
6. Bay Area (SF + Silicon Valley) - United (AA has Alaska to help here but is behind United)
7. DC - United + AA
8. Miami - AA
9. Philadelphia - AA
10. Atlanta - Delta

Among the population centers Delta has the least representation ergo “worst hubs” - AA is weaker in the top 2 markets comparatively if you use only its own product, but as Alaska is OneWorld now and JetBlue has full reciprocal earning it evens the field somewhat. United is in between.

United already did this for Global Services

Need United 1k to follow suit

Recently passed the GCS exam this cycle- I understand people use this specialty to their advantage in a job app process but was wondering if anyone has asked their current employer for a higher rate for their specialty? If so, how much did you ask for? I’m in outpatient ortho, 4 years experience, southwest CT region. Seeing very wide pay ranges for “geriatric physical therapist” on Glassdoor, etc and would appreciate any input!

I had 60 day late payment of 35 bucks in Jan. It was new Amex Hilton card I opened for stupid points. It was reported and my credit score had been consistently dropping from last 6 months. It was 780 and now is 735. I realized this 3 months and been paying my credit card bills immediately. Infact I have overpaid each card to have negative balance so my credit utilization is almost zero. What else I can do to repair the damage. I am applying for homeloan and this is big issue to get best rate

Best everyday bank account and credit card in Australia for an expat couple?

I‘m moving to Australia with my partner and we don’t have a bank account and credit cards yet. We basically need the bank account only for everyday finance stuff (local payments, debit card, etc) and we‘re looking for some credit cards with good international fees and ideally a reward program to collect some points for traveling.

Today marks the 80th anniversary of the Day Pearl Harbor was attacked launching the United States into World War II. What many people might not know is that on December 8th, (the very next day) those same planes that attached Pearl Harbor, continued with their their assault on the Philippines. Just like in Pearl Harbor, many Americans also lost their lives. Even more devastating was the fact that the Bataan Death March became the result of that attack.

Booked a villa for 50-60 guests for our destination wedding in Tuscany. The hotel required us to pre-pay for the rooms and won’t accept direct payments from guests. This means we need to find a way to “charge” each of our guests for the cost. Any recs? Thought of PayPal and Venmo but would prefer being able to create a website that feels more legit / seamless and allows for credit cards if needed. There are many different room types and we’d like to be able to feature them so guests can choose.

I finished interviews with multiple (6) people yesterday. I asked the HR recruiter for their email addresses to send out thank you emails and she responded for me to send her the note which she would share with the team.
Should I write a single general thank you email addressed to all, or six customized emails to each interviewer?

Home Address faaaaar away from Home Office

I'm contemplating going through my company's process of changing my primary residence to a middle-america state with lower COL. The office that I'd remain reporting to is in a HCOL area. The interesting thing is that the new area is tiered at same level as my current area.

Have any fish had experience doing this? Was it worth the occasional flight back to your home office? Any noticeable difference in your taxes at the end of the year?
