The client offered me really good job and I took it (lead new area and create a team). I think this will be a great story for the MBA app. The CEO told me he was concerned that I would leave for an MBA and I told him I wouldn't. Now I have ~2 years to put myself in a position where I can tell him I decided that I do want to do an MBA and be able to get a rec. from him. Seems like mission imposible for me. Any tips?

To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

Making a switch from software engineer to product management.
I have been a one man show for most of my projects in years prior and have lead 2-3 engineers and 2 BAs on my recent projects.

How difficult is it to make a switch? 12 years experience in IT.

I've spent a good amount of time working strategy, product development and change management/PMO projects . Data Scientist by training with a small amount of DD and financial modeling experience - so hopefully have the analytics chops to learn new skills as needed.
