My company allows contributions to both traditional (pre-tax) and Roth (post-tax) 401k. Is it better to split my contributions between the two? For example, I could contribute 3% to Roth and 3% to traditional (my employer matches up to 6% total but that can only goes to traditional)

PhD in Chemistry w/ 8 YOE. Now pursuing a part-time MBA while working as an R&D manager is a chemical company. I don't enjoy chemistry research anymore and want to try something else.
