Saw this quote and it hit me like a nail on the head... is this why I procrastinate? At anything?

Yep, what would you do if you were not afraid? Another good quote.

When I was 16 and how I met your mother came out I thought he was the coolest guy living an awesome NYC life. As it turns out, I grew up and realized he’s uncomfortably whiny and has nothing to offer other than some corny advice about love - something he’s never had.

Hi I am a female USDC SS level employee and would be on bench starting from mid September. Can anyone suggest how to get approval for work from home during my bench time. I am very much tensed

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

I received a job offer for a PM position with a base of $125K and a 10% bonus, fully remote and ok benefits. The parental leave is pretty bad, just FMLA and STD/LTD so the most I’d get is 60% of my salary for 12 weeks. I’ve cancelled most of my interviews except for one where the pay is $135K, 20% bonus, hybrid schedule, good benefits and 16 weeks fully paid parental leave. I’d like to start my family in a year or two - is it better to take the remote gig or the hybrid role with full paid leave?

Hi Moms. I’m 4.5mo postpartum with my first, and I’m having incredible feelings of resentment toward my husband, who I love dearly and with whom I’ve always had a great relationship. It feels like he’s not factoring me or the baby into his decisions (e.g. going on a 4d boys trip, attending big events), while I’m left with the consequences. My mat leave is ending, and he’s now sick with COVID. He’s quarantining at my in-laws while I return to work and take care of baby. I’m so frustrated… (cont.)

Feeling a sharp tinging pain in left lower abdomen. It’s my first trimester. Have my OB visit next week, but between then and now has anyone encountered it?
FYI - I had something similar before I got pregnant. Was on vacations and planned to get it checked on return but it went away by the time I returned so never got it checked.

Is anyone living on different floors with ~1 year old? Does it work, PROs, CONs? Our master bedroom is upstairs. There are two bedrooms downstairs so I always thought we’d use one of those rooms as our bedroom so we’re on the same floor with baby but it seems husband wants to stay upstairs. And he’s using one of the rooms downstairs as a home office. We bought this house so cannot move in the short term.

Hi there, I got an offer for an early stage cyber security saas startup in Canada and they offered me 130k base and 10-15% commissions which they estimated at 160-240k additional a year. They only have 1 sales person at the moment and I would be 2nd and they are hiring for 3 more. I’ve always been on a 50:50 model and never done the % of revenue. Average deal size is 40k. I got 12 yoe in enterprise tech sales. No stock options upfront but potentially after the first 3 months. Good deal?

Possibly a dumb question but I’m new to buying fine jewelry. When you see items that are listed as fine jewelry at say Nordstrom’s how is that different than the items at an actual jeweler? Is there a quality difference or something else? What about between a jewelry store like Mejuri and Tiffany’s? Are there tiers that I should be aware of (more concerned about levels of quality since I can Google prices but I know that’s not always a direct correlation lol) All insights would be appreciated!
