I have a mini steamer I travel with. I haven't ironed in years.
I got my little steamer (mini) as a gift. It's held up well over the years, although I'll need to replace it soon.
I iron in hotel room as part of my morning routine after giving them a shower stream. Usually works. Easiest with non-iron, more work with the others. Always inspect the iron before using. Run across hand towel if suspicious.
Always run on a gand towel, even if nit suspicious.
I hang them in the bathroom while I take a shower. The stream usually takes the creases out
Gotta take hotter showers, pwc4.
Never got this problem. I fold my shirts, hang them when I get to the hotel, and live with a few creases. Life is too short to worry about hotel irons and mildly creased shirts (which by 10am look like everyone else’s anyway).
Nah, fam, this ain’t it. Just knock out those last few wrinkles — it only takes 5 minutes and you always gotta look your best.
Sunday night ritual once I get into hotel is to throw on some TV and iron all my stuff for the week

What do other people do to not have to iron in hotels? I buy non iron shirts but even so, they still have folding creases to be ironed off. Hotel irons and the boards are so low quality, every week i run the risk of ruining a shirt .. what solutions have you found?
Portable steamer here as well.
Shirt stays
Interesting
My steamer doesnt do anything. The steam in the shower doesnt do anything. I iron my shirt every morning. I must have super wrinkly ocbd’s
1. YouTube how to fold a dress shirt for travel
2. Unpack and hang up cloths that may wrinkle when you first arrive
3. If clothes are a bit wrinkled, spend 15-30 mins passing an iron over the wrinkled ones before hanging up.
You’ll never need to iron in the morning again
Advanced tip: Find a dry cleaner near the hotel and drop off every Thursday before you fly out.
Buy non iron shirts. At most to you leave them to steam while you take a shower, then stretch them out a bit and you're good to go. I haven't ironed a shirt in years.
Thirding BB. CT non iron wrinkle more in my experience
For years I have done dry clean with light to medium starch. Fold once into carry on. A few wrinkles here and there but light starch helps them travel. However, some of the newer non-iron shirts don’t starch well - talk to your haberdasher about best non iron shirts that may be starched
You have to see Heimie’s Haberdashery in St. Paul, MN. Great clothing place and great service. They have a cigar shop, barber shop, and best shoe shine in the twin cities.

I travel with a spray bottle
If they are wrinkle-free shirts, then yes. Spray them liberally with water before going to bed, hang in the closet or on the shower rod and they’ll be dry and wrinkle free by the morning. I’ve even red-eyed, sprayed a shirt and dried with a hair dryer at the hotel before heading into the office with good results
I just don’t care about some light fold wrinkles. No one notices
I do and judge 👩⚖️. We get paid a lot to be brains in suits. Both gotta be on point to satisfy
I steam them hanging while i shower too but depending on the size of the bathroom and how close im able to hang it to the shower, its not a very reliable way to always get creases out.. is there a trick to get it to always work?
I’ve never had bad luck just taking a normal shower(door closed), drying off, then hand smoothing/pulling down.
After using a hotel iron and losing a quality shirt to it, I never iron at hotels anymore. I only travel with non-iron shirts and let the shower steam get out most of the wrinkles. I also travel with a garment bag and carry my suits and shirts in there.
I use a garment folder. Not perfect, but good enough.
Iron my shirts for the week after I check in on Monday night. Has become a bit of a ritual.
Hang them o the hanger and hang them in shower - run the hot water steam for 30 minutes
