What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

That statement was clear P1 - stop being a dick
The reward for good work is always more work. How do you not know this?
Yeah you need to let people know that thing you just finished 4 hours ago is “in process”. 😂
The more I read completely incoherent statements, the more I want required help this?
OP - Is this rhetorical? If you finish 8 hours of work in 5, I don't think any manager would let you dilly dally for another 3 lol. They want to keep you productive.
Either way it looks good for you in the long run. If it's too much, slow down a bit.
The more work I get and am also required to help others*
Geez
Why do you think a 2 hour job turns into an 8 hour job.
D1,P1- go use an app with non vague posts !
It’s called the cream rising to the top. I see this a lot from the other side. My client has lots of developers. Most are so-so, one is very good. Who do you think we all send our questions and development requests to?
I go home at midnight with the rest of the team everyday regardless of how fast I finish things because 1) I am asked to do additional analyses, etc. that have little to no value add 2) I spend a lot of time helping others. I understand I have to be a team player but it just sucks to be always drowned in work. Also, I am starting to realize the faster you finish work, the more unnecessary work they’ll create for you... I was naive. I will just take my time with everything.
Truth is you’re being overloaded because you’re good, and you’ll get promoted soon for the same reason. Before you know it most of your job will be helping others get their job done, and planning the rest of your day as you see fit. So try not to sweat it in the short term. You might delicately try to bring up the situation to more senior people at your firm. In my company, we’re cognizant that we don’t burn out our best people before they have a chance to become more senior, and will make necessary adjustments.
P1’s got a point though. There are far too many unintentionally vague posts on this app
I am all for taking on extra work and helping others just don't let it burn you out. There is always more work
P1 was not clear at all agree with BCG1. Shocker a partner makes a rude comment that has no meaning
A2 - Amen
Do you want to be viewed as reliable then continue to move at your speed. Make sure quality is there and take credit. This will help you get promoted. Unless of course you are mean to coworkers, that would make you principal material
Under promise, over deliver.
Yes. My entire career has been like that. When I was a senior, they had me helping out struggling managers. The nerve. And on and on it went. So unfair. ;)
Those who make the most mistakes often have the highest utilization.
Dude remember 80/20 pareto rule!
Get in 80 side of equation 😬
